Kimberly Smith-Johnson, MHRM, SHRM-CP, DEIC

Kimberly is an ambidextrous senior HR leader, trusted advisor, and strategic business partner with 25+ years of progressive work experience in the areas of Human Resources, Leadership Development, Diversity/Equity & Inclusion, and Organizational Strategy. Her work spans varied industries including Education, E-Commerce, Food Service & Distribution, Manufacturing, and Government, among others. With a passion for growing people, her program, product, and project expertise include building HR infrastructures for varied-sized businesses; successfully developing and implementing talent acquisition and talent management systems/programming; and leading culture shifts and change, along with driving EEO/DEI & Belonging activities and customizing organizational designs.

Kimberly is also a scholar-practitioner and lifelong learner, and works leveraging her experience by mentoring and training other HR professionals, as well as providing “HR for HR” services. She is a proud graduate of Purdue University with undergraduate degrees in Behavioral Sciences, Professional Communications Studies, and Human Resources. Kimberly obtained a Master's degree in Strategic Human Resources Management from Walden University, and is continuing post-graduate studies at the institution. Kimberly is a certified HR professional with endorsements from Purdue University (Personnel & Human Resources Certification), the University of South Florida (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certification), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP Certification). Kimberly is also a licensed notary in the State of Texas.
